Ritchie Blackmore reunited with Deep Purple onstage for the first time in more than three decades Wednesday night, August 12, 2026, at Northwell at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, New York.
Metal Mayhem ROC’s Metal Walt was there and captured exclusive video of the historic moment as the legendary guitarist joined his former bandmates for a special encore appearance.
Blackmore last performed with Deep Purple in 1993. At 81 years old, the guitarist returned to the stage with the band he co-founded and helped define with some of the most recognizable riffs in hard rock history.
