After taking the summer of 2026 off, Jon “The Vernomatic” Verno has announced the return of Metal Mayhem ROC Live to Metal Devastation Radio on Monday, September 28.
The return marks the beginning of Verno’s sixth season behind the mic, with the live radio show returning to its familiar Monday night home from 6:00–8:30 PM ET.
“I took the summer off, stepped away for a few months, and now I’m rejuvenated, reloaded, and ready to rock,” Verno says. “There’s a ton of new music that came out while we were away, plenty of stuff I’ve been digging through, and I’m really looking forward to getting back behind the mic and starting our sixth season.”
Metal Mayhem ROC Live returns with the mix that has defined the show over its first five seasons — classic cuts, deep tracks, hidden gems, new releases, listener requests, and plenty of heavy stuff from the vault.
Regular features will also return, including Shredder’s Buffet, Arena Rock Remembered, Southern Cal’s Metal Minute, and the heavier sounds of the Third Leg.
“It’s still Metal Mayhem ROC Live,” Verno adds. “We’re not reinventing what the show is. We’re coming back refreshed, with months of new material to work with, and ready to have some fun again.”
