The Catalyst
For Frank Hannon, Homage was never intended to be just another covers record. Instead, it became an opportunity for Tesla to recognize the artists whose music influenced the band from the very beginning.

The Creative Process

Many of those discussions happened backstage before concerts, where the members debated songs that not only fit the album's vision but also suited Jeff Keith's unmistakable voice. Hannon also describes the challenge of studying some of rock's greatest guitar performances, learning from them while ensuring Tesla's interpretations remained authentic rather than simple recreations.
The result is an album that respects its influences while still sounding unmistakably like Tesla.
Sound, Intent, or Message
Although Homage celebrates music from the past, Tesla also wanted to remind fans that the band continues creating new material.
That commitment led to the inclusion of "Never Alone," the album's lone original song. Hannon explains that the track continues Tesla's tradition of writing uplifting music centered on hope, perseverance, and connection.
